Our client is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work in the Aged Care industry. We have in home care as well as Aged care facility work available. If you have not had experience don’t worry, Skilled care can help put you through a traineeship in Certificate 3 Aged Care and individual Support. Whether you are changing careers or ready for your first job as an aged care trainee, we support you in developing all the skills and expertise you need to work as a qualified aged care worker across Australia.
With the Skilled Care Traineeships program, you work and study towards a Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) and earn while you learn, so you can support yourself during your studies while getting hands-on experience.

To work as an aged care worker, you will need to have at least a high school certificate. Depending upon the role and organisation, you may need complete additional training or certification programs in which Skilled Care can provide access to necessary training.
To prepare for successful employment in aged care that allows you to work across the sector, you will need a Certificate III in Individual Support. Many employers will pay for your studies while you work and complete your training.
This qualification is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide personal care and support to individuals in the aged care sector. It covers a wide range of topics, including:
Providing personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assisting with mobility and exercise
Providing emotional support and companionship
Assisting with daily living activities
Providing support to individuals with disabilities
Understanding and respecting diversity and individual rights
Maintaining accurate records and documentation
In addition to Certificate III in Individual Support, you may also be required to have additional qualifications or certifications, such as first aid and CPR, food handling and hygiene, and medication administration. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work as part of a team, and facilitate family services are also important for success in this field.
Make sure you have the necessary qualifications and certifications. In many cases, you will need to have completed high school and complete additional training or certification programs, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support.
